In recent years, the Catholic Church in Norway has experienced rapid and joyful growth. New parishioners from many countries have enriched our communities. However, this fast growth has also brought challenges and stretched resources.

An important request:

Many Catholics living in Norway are still not registered in the system. Registration is essential for two main reasons:

- It allows the Church to receive public financial support from the Norwegian government, just like other registered religious communities.

- It helps to the "Den katolsk Kirke" to know who our faithful are, so they can better serve us with Masses, sacraments, and pastoral care.

Important information:

- There is no international Catholic database. Therefore, when you move to Norway, you need to register yourself as a member of the Catholic Church here in Norway.

- Registering as a Catholic in Norway does not increase your taxes or involve any extra fees.

- The Catholic Diocese of Oslo manages the membership records for all three dioceses in Norway.

- To be properly registered, they need your full 11-digit Norwegian personal identity number (fødselsnummer).

If you are Catholic and live in Norway, please register. Your registration makes a real difference!
